Colored-coding is used to indicate the chemical class of each amino acid residue.
This is easily done by constructing a string replacement table for a text processor
such as Jon Wind's shareware , "Add/Strip". This table specifies the html color code
assigned to each capital letter. Thus transmembrane segments display as purple areas.

- code : explains the color code and the 1-letter code.
